Powerwolf is a German/Romanian power metal band created in 2003 by Charles and Matthew Greywolf. The group is notable for having rather dark themes and images, both musically and lyrically, both counteractions to traditional power metal music and including usage of corpse paint, gothic-tinged compositions and songs about Romanian werewolf legends and dark religious tales, though the latter is done ironically.
In 2003, "brothers" Charles and Matthew Greywolf, who had been playing together for years, decided to create a band, and this is how Powerwolf started. Soon the "brothers" added French drummer Stéfane Funèbre and German keyboardist Falk Maria Schlegel to the band, but couldn't find a suitable singer to complete Powerwolf.
In the meantime, the band started writing, and on holidays in Romania, Charles and Matthew met Attila Dorn.[1] Dorn, who studied Classical Opera at the Music Academy of Bucharest, became the frontman of Powerwolf. With Dorn's love of Romanian werewolf legends, the band created their debut album, Return in Bloodred, which used these same legends as the basis of a lot of the lyrics. In 2007 they followed up with their second album, Lupus Dei, a concept album starring a wolf as the main character and his fall from bloodlust to enlightenment.
A new album entitled Bible of the Beast was released on April 25, 2009
Album 2011:
POWERWOLF organist Falk Maria Schlegel recently stated about the group's new material, "We spent the last three months in the rehearsal room working out stuff for the new album. Even though it's still in the making, we can already promise the songs are 100% POWERWOLF, taking off where Bible of the Beast ended. There's furious stuff, there's epic stuff — and all of it is catchy as hell."
Their fourth album was titled "Blood Of The Saints" and was released 29 July in Europe and 2 August in the United States.

Their 2009 album "Fireangel" marked a serious turning point for Mystic Prophecy – after many thought the band would not continue because of diverse line-up changes and delivered a serious metal highlight. With "Fireangel" the band went on a longer European tour with the Finns of Stratovarius and also appeared on numerous festivals throughout Europe. The feedback was more than positive and it soon became clear that the band wasn't able to keep the 1-year rhythm in releasing new albums – it took double time, almost two years this time to finish "Ravenlord".
But with this album Mystic Prophecy that great bands are like good wine and become the older the better !!! And Mystic Prophecy never were better !!! Already now the press highly praises the album – and they are right!
The sound is top notch again for the fans as the band didn't change their winning team and recorded at Prophecy and Music Factory Studios with engineer C.Schmid and mixed with Fredirk Nordström (In Flames, Arch Enemy etc.) in Sweden. The result is once more breathtaking especially because the band combines extreme metal sounds ("Die Now" or "Damned Tonight") with the classic rock elements ("Ravenlord", "Eyes of the Devil").
This musical variety and the excellent song writing make "Ravenlord" rememberable. There is no doubt: "Ravenlord" won't dissapoint anybody! The Ozzy Osbourne classic "Miracle Man", which was pimped to speed of light remarks an extra highlight for all metalheads – what else a real metalhead can ask for?
STORMWARRIOR'S MYSPACE WEBSITE

STORMWARRIOR are known worldwide for their unique style of combining True Heavy Metal anthems played at a furious speed, with the concept of Nordic mythology and a pagan way of life. Hailing from Northern Germany and Denmark, the band has strong roots in the Hamburg Metal tradition that has spawned bands like Helloween and Running Wild in the past.
The band has risen out of the metal underground and is still firmly rooted in the metal community. STORMWARRIOR was founded in 1998 by Lars Ramcke and after taking the old school route of releasing demo tapes and 7” vinyl singles, the band finally got the attention of Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray/ex-Helloween) and recorded their self-titled debut album in his Hamburg based Hansen Studios. The album hit the stores in July 2002 and praise from all corners of the globe has been streaming in since then.
Successful festival appearances at the Wacken Open (GER), Gates Of Metal & Motala Metal Festival (SWE), a tour with Iron Savior and the EP „Heavy Metal Fire“ followed.
End of 2003 STORMWARRIOR entered Hansen Studios again to record the strongly awaited second album “Northern Rage”, which was released in June 2004 and was testament to the fact that Stormwarrior were on the verge of becoming front-runners of the tradition that had inspired them.
After the successful release of "Northern Rage" they were invited to support Gamma Ray on their Japan tour and to play renowned festivals like Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock UK, Manowar’s Magic Circle Festival and the Earthshaker Fest. Besides proving that they are one of the hottest live acts around in their own right, STORMWARRIOR occasionally added a special set to their live show, where they shared the stage with Kai Hansen celebrating old Helloween classics of the glorious “Walls of Jericho” era.
With their 3rd. studio album "Heading Northe" STORMWARRIOR adventured into more epic and atmospheric territory without compromising on aggression or speed. It was also the first album to be recorded entirely at their own Thunderhall Studio. The album Mix was done by Piet Sielck (Savage Circus, Iron Savior) and the final Mastering by Tommy Hansen (Helloween, Pretty Maids, Jorn a.o.). The album was a massive success and allowed the band to play major festivals like Sweden Rock, Masters of Rock and the prestigious ProgPower USA Festival in Atlanta. Also, STORMWARRIOR were invited to take part in the “Live Premonition over Europe” tour, which also included bands like Firewind and Vicious Rumors.
Now, with their new album "Heathen Warrior" (release date: May 27 2011) STORMWARRIOR are raising the bar once more. Staying true to their roots, with their heathen heritage moving into a more central role, they have taken further steps into previously uncharted realms. STORMWARRIOR has managed to stay focused on their trademarks of memorable metal anthems with strong messages, but has kept evolving their musical prowess, delivering the catchiest, yet intricate guitar work, elaborate bass lines and powerhouse drumming to date. Recorded at Thunderhall Studio and mixed by Tommy Hansen at Jailhouse Studios in Denmark, “Heathen Warrior” is Northern Steele at its finest.

LONEWOLF started their Heavy Metal crusade in 1993 in Grenoble, France. After "The Calling" demo tape (1994) and the already legendary 7" single "Holy Evil" (1996), the band splitted up, to return in the year 2000, stronger than ever before. The same year the band released the "March Into The Arena" debut album, and promoted it on tour, during which they also invaded Greece and their Holocaust Festival, and opened the first French Grave Digger show. The second studio album titled "Unholy Paradise" (2003) was a huge step forward: the band promoted it on live shows with acts such as Paragon, Sacred Steel, Paul Di'Anno, Wizard and Grave Digger.
In 2004 Lonewolf decided to pay a tribute to the Greek fans, who were giving the band incredible support since the very beginning - so the were special 7" single "Hellenic Warriors", incl. the title track which is until now a classic Lonewolf live killer, was out on small, but respected Greek label Eat Metal Records. Lonewolf stayed with this label for a bit longer: their third studio album "Made In Hell" (2008) was also released by Eat Metal, and gained impressive feedback from underground press and fans all around the globe. The same year, Hard Rocker magazine (the biggest Polish printed magazine at that time) released "The Curse Of The Seven Seas" CD compilation, which was added for free to one of their issues.
The next studio album was recorded in summer of 2009, and featured bunch of special guests such as Majk Moti of Running Wild, Jan Bunning of Paragon, and Marta Gabriel of Crystal Viper. "The Dark Crusade" - as it is the title of this most successful Lonewolf album - was produced by Bart Gabriel (Burning Starr, Crystal Viper, Sacred Steel), and mixed by the legendary Grammy nominated King Diamond guitarist, Andy LaRocque, who is also known from cooperation with acts such as Hammerfall, In Flames, and of course King Diamond. The album was out on Karthago Records in November of 2009. Now, the "wolf division" is getting ready to attack with their brand new studio album titled "Army Of The Damned"… Stay tuned!
