My Favorite Scar consists of five members, who each have earned their spores in different musical backgrounds. Stephen van Haestregt, also known as the drummer for Dutch gothic rockstars Within Temptation, is one of them. Men who are compelled to the power of the mighty riff - combined with mesmerizing melodies.

Early 2007 the band joined forces with producer Oscar Holleman (Within Temptation). Months of writing and recording followed, resulting in the upcoming My Favorite Scar debut album.

The name My Favorite Scar was derived from the song My Favorite Scar - a song they wrote together. It concerns the death of the mother of 2 band members. Without a doubt - one of the most gripping songs on the record.

By the end of 2008 My Favorite Scar hit the stage for the first time and the band embarked upon their first tour on home territory, including a sold-out support show for Disturbed (USA). August 2009 marked their first international appearance, as they flew over to Kiev (UA) to play the Global East Fest, sharing the stage with the likes of Epica and Motorhead.

So here it is. Contagious, hard and melodic. And the best yet to come.
